THE BIG SIX MONTHS!!!!

Well it is your BIG 1/2 birthday! the big six months! you are so grown and silly it makes Mama sick. lol This month is Christmas and you were so cute. Mama and Papi got you this Santa outfit and you made our hearts melt! You got lots of great gifts and you also gave some good gifts too! The big gift was your walker from your Madea! You can stand up in it and move backwards but the big goal will be for you to actually walk! You are such a blessing to have and we are so happy and filled with love everytime you smile!! You are getting to be so big that we even put you in the "big boy" part of the cart this month! you liked it there were so many things to touch and look at. Even though Mama had to hold you because you were so excited, it was a huge milestone to Mama. ;) this is also a big month because you are starting to CRAWL!!! You get up on all fours and rock back and forth, you also do this Pilates pose which is really funny! We hope to see you crawl forward soon, you got the backwards, sideways, and turn in circles down! It was also Christmas during this time. You wore a really cute Santa outfit. You gave everybody an ornament out of clay with your handprint in it. Very crafty.

Five Months Old

You are now five months old and your are so advanced for your age. I wanted to add this in your last months post but i already had too many pictures and did not want to overload you. You started holding your bottle this month and you even discovered "yourself" as well. I am going to show you a funny video and pictures. It is November now and the big event that we looked forward too all month was Thanksgiving! YUM YUM! you still eat from the bottle so you will know what I'm talking about when you get your little chompers in. :) You are stating to sit up on your own and you do it well, but, when you get excited you spaz out and fall over. but you are getting used to it. You also had another visit from your god sister Zoe and it was really funny because you guys were acting grown and it was very cute. You also had your first trip to Chuck E Cheese. We went for your cousin Layo's birthday, again we didn't do much but we walked you around and Mama and Papi had fun playing games.

Four Months Old

You are now four months old and it is October. Mama and Papi were very excited because there are a lot of things that go on in this month. Mama's birthday is on the 26th and Halloween is on the 31rst. We had put lots of thought of what we wanted you to be for Halloween and what we were going to do. We finally thought that you would make a great Batman! Mama made your costume all by herself. She was very proud of it. We had taken you to the mall in Mississippi to get candy with your cousin Cailyn. This month we also took you to the pumpkin patch and picked some pumpkins up for Mama and Papi to decorate. Since we got tiny pumpkins we decided to paint them rather than cut them up. They came out very cute and we cant wait till you are bigger to wither paint your own or to cut up your own. You had also went to the fair in Pascagoula, Mississippi and Mobile, Alabama too, even though we did not do too much we enjoyed walking you around and letting you see all the things you will be doing when you get older. You also went to your first football game too. It was a South Alabama football game, the school your mama goes to. It was very hot but you did so well. You were so happy and you liked looking at the game so close.

Three Months Old

You are now 3 months old! Mama started to go back to school so Papi would watch you all day and then go to work at night. He is a very hard working, supportive man! We love the fact that we did not have to find a day care for you and that we are able to watch you at home. You still did not go out much but we did take you to a few places. Just the same ol' Walmart, Madea's and to some of Mama's school events. You are such a happy boy and I think that since we started to take so many pictures of you since you were young that you got used to the camera and every time Mama would hold up her phone you would smile. You still slept a lot but you liked to just watch us and watch what goes on around you. You are very observant for such a baby. Mama took a lot of pictures of you but most of them are when you were sleeping :) Don't worry I do the same thing to your Papi! :) One cool thing that you got to do was have your very first sleep over with your best friend/god sister Zoe. You see her a lot and you like to play with her. This was the first of many times hanging out with her.

Two Months Old

You are two months old now and you open your eyes so much more. You also smile so much. You are a very happy baby! Papi prayed for you to be happy and a easy going baby and God heard us and answered out prayers. You are so relaxed and easy. You don't cry much and if you do it is only for a diaper change or you are hungry. We did not take you out of the house much because we wanted you to build up you immune system so you won't get sick later on in life too much. We did take you to see your Madea and we went on a family trip to Walmart a few times but that was about it. So you loved to stay with Mama or Papi at home.

Finally home sweet home!

After you got better at the hospital we got to bring you home again and that's when all the fun started! You slept a lot and did not want to play much. We had a great time just sitting watching you sleep. We both enjoyed it. You are a little over a month old and we finally got to give you your first bath at home. It was very interesting. Mama was nervous because you were so tiny and she didn't want to hurt you. Papi did all of the work because he had the bigger hands. I could not get over how small you were it just amazed me that you were in my belly and now we are holding you and bathing you. It just makes me so happy that you are in this world and a part of our family.

Uhh Ohh!!

So we brought you home and we were so excited. You did not do too much but sleep, eat and poop. We woke up every three hours to feed and change you, at 5 o'clock in the morning I had noticed that you had a little but of blood in your diaper. I took a picture of it and kept a eye on you. All throughout the morning it was getting worse and worse. Mama got nervous and told your Papi we needed to take you to the emergency room. We took you at 2:00 pm and stayed in there for many hours before a doctor could tell us why this was happening. Finally they told us that you were having stomach issues that were going on that needed to be monitored because they could not explain why it was happening. They had to check you in to a room on the pediatric floor, so Mama took you to your room. They pricked and prodded you for a while before they took you away to have some more tests done. They had to give you a spinal tap to test for meningitis, they tried once but did not get enough fluid. They waited a while and tried again. You were so upset with them poking you that you cried and stopped breathing for 30 seconds! They told me that you needed a oxygen bag to help you start breathing again. Because you stopped breathing and had stomach problems, they thought it would be best to check you into the PICU (pediatric intensive care unit). When they finally came to tell me all of this, Mama came straight up to see you. You were so tiny in a big bed like crib. You had so many tubes on you that it made me sad. They had poked you so much at your previous stay that they had to shave a piece of hair on your forehead and put your IV there. You had a oxygen tube in your nose helping you breathe and a tube going down your nose to your stomach to get any liquid out that didn't belong. It was so hard just watching you and not knowing where exactly you were hurting. Whenever Mama came you never cried, you just slept the whole time and did not look like you were in much pain at all. Your Papi had to leave to work while you were being checked in and I had to call him and tell him everything over the phone. When he got off work at night he came to see you and pray with you. He was sad but hopeful all at the same time because he knew you were a strong boy who could fight this. You had to stay there for a few days and once they saw you were better they sent you back down to the pediatric floor. Your Madea and Papa, your great grandma came and you got LOTS of phone call's and prayers during this stay again. Uncle Mike and Kael came too. You are so loved and had so many people thinking about you. Mama never left the hospital this time and just slept in a room there waiting for you to get better. After God had heard out prayers and you got plenty of medicine, we finally were able to bring you home a couple of days later. We thought second time is the charm. Again Papi pulled the car around and picked you up, locked you in and drove us home. Here are some pictures of your second stay.....
